Intensive-level survey of one dozen buildings in the California Camp, including mid-20 th century shops, warehouses, and the oilfield’s guesthouse.

GLENWOOD SPRINGS DOWNTOWN DISTRICT (GLENWOOD SPRINGS, CO)

Intensive-level survey in 2019-2020 of 34 historic commercial and residential properties in the downtown district, including the Hotel Denver and other early resources.

CACHE LA POUDRE RIVER (FORT COLLINS, CO)

Intensive-level documentation of thirteen historic resources along the river corridor adjacent to downtown, including several residences and commercial buildings, a major vehicular bridge, two historic railroad bridges, an irrigation ditch and headgate, and flood-retention and water diversion structures. The project helped the City of Fort Collins obtain a US Army Corps of Engineers permit under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act for improvements to the river corridor and the construction of a whitewater park.

TOWN OF AVON (AVON, CO)

Intensive-level survey of eight scattered historic resources in the former agricultural community of Avon, now a resort associated with the Beaver Creek Ski Area. The resources date from the 1880s to around 1910, and included cabins and farmhouses along with a barn, blacksmith shop and two irrigation ditches.

Intensive-level survey of 25 residential properties dating from the 1880s to the 1940s in this historic mining, ranching and farming center.

Intensive-level survey of 105 buildings along a two-mile stretch of Federal Blvd., including portions of the Valverde, Barnum, Villa Park and Sun Valley neighborhoods.

Field survey, archival research and preservation planning for this large open space property with historic ranching resources dating from the 1890s to the 1960s, located in the mountains southeast of Estes Park.

NORTH CAMPUS SURVEY (FORT COLLINS, CO)

Intensive-level survey of 50 residential properties in the historic neighborhood just north of the Colorado State University campus.

LINDEN STREET (FORT COLLINS, CO)

Intensive-level survey of one dozen buildings in downtown Fort Collins through the former fort area between the Old Town historic district and the Cache la Poudre River.

JEFFERSON STREET (FORT COLLINS, CO)

Intensive-level survey of twenty-five buildings in downtown Fort Collins. The project included documenting Jefferson Street, the city’s first commercial thoroughfare dating back to the 1860s cavalry fort and frontier road.

Field survey, archival research and preservation planning for this large open space property with historic ranching, quarrying and timber harvesting resources dating from the 1890s to the 1940s, located among the hogbacks and foothills west of Fort Collins.

Intensive-level survey in 1998 of 40 historic residential, commercial, ecclesiastical and resort buildings and sites throughout the downtown district, including the Hotel Colorado, the Glenwood Hot Springs, and the Vapor Caves

GOLD HILL HISTORIC DISTRICT (GOLD HILL, CO)

Photographic documentation of 72 historic buildings, sites and structures in this 1859 Colorado Gold Rush mining town.

GRAND JUNCTION REGIONAL AIRPORT (GRAND JUNCTION, CO)

Intensive-level survey of the airport property, along with 1,800 acres of adjacent BLM land north of the airport toward the Book Cliffs. This included Level II documentation and analysis of the 1889 Little Book Cliff Railway.

Intensive-level historic buildings survey of 60 properties in the city's historic East Side Neighborhood residential district. Work completed to assist Cultural Resource Historians.

Field survey, archival research and preservation planning for this large open space property with historic ranching, gypsum quarrying, and plaster milling resources dating from the 1880s to the 1960s, located among the hogbacks west of Loveland.

MANITOU SPRINGS HISTORIC DISTRICT (MANITOU SPRINGS, CO)

Field survey, analysis and redrawing of the local historic district boundaries for this late-1800s resort town.

BOBCAT RIDGE NATURAL AREA (MASONVILLE, CO)

Field survey, archival research, preservation planning and coordination of archaeological analysis for this 2,700-acre historic ranch and open space property near Masonville in the foothills above Fort Collins.

STERLING DOWNTOWN DISTRICT (STERLING, CO)

Intensive-level survey of 12 historic buildings in the downtown commercial district of this northeastern plains railroad town and agricultural market center. The project included sites such as the 1912 City Hall, 1910 Telephone Exchange, 1909 Masonic Temple, 1938 Fox Theater, 1910 Brown-Naugle Mansion, and several other early 1900s hotels, auto garages and commercial buildings. Work completed to assist Cultural Resource Historians.

Intensive-level survey of 25 early to mid-twentieth century commercial and residential buildings in the downtown commercial district of this agricultural market center.

WESTMINSTER IRRIGATION DITCHES (WESTMINSTER, CO)

Research, field documentation and writing to develop the histories of sixteen late 1800s and early 1900s irrigation ditches that pass through the City of Westminster.

WESTMINSTER LAKES (WESTMINSTER, CO)

Research, field documentation and writing to develop the histories of thirty- four lakes owned by the City of Westminster. Now located in parks and open spaces, most were originally developed as irrigation reservoirs in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
