Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, the firm provides full-service historic documentation and preservation consultation throughout the western United States, with a particular focus upon the Plains states and Rocky Mountain West. To date, Tatanka has completed the documentation and analysis of several thousand properties in fifteen states. Ron Sladek, founder and president, has been in the field for twenty-six years and is one of the region’s most active and accomplished public historians and preservation consultants.
